Homegrown Pantry uses all organic growing methods and encourages the use of compost and cover crops for improving soil quality. We also include companion plants and many flowering plants to attract beneficial bugs for a natural pest control.

The Homegrown Pantry Nursery- We grow the majority of the plants we use in your gardens. We will also deliver if you would like to order veggies or herbs. All plants are from heirloom variety seeds and are grown organically.
Homegrown Pantry Kitchen Gardens was started by Karrie Crane in 2008 in an effort to re-connect local residents with the joys of the natural gardening cycle and the pleasures of seasonal, homegrown produce.
The Homegrown Team:
Karrie Crane was born and raised on her family's one acre home in Santa Barbara where she developed a passion for gardening and a love of homegrown meals. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oregon in 2007 with a degree in Environmental Studies and a focus on sustainable agriculture. She spent her summers as an intern for various family farms, nurseries, and gardens throughout Oregon and California- including two summers as the Plant Healthcare Intern at Ganna Walska's Lotusland in Montecito. She continues to learn through hands-on garden work, master garden courses, and classes in environmental horticulture at SB City College.
